Ingredients You’ll Need

Want to make my mango banana smoothie bowl? You’ll need the following (for two smoothie bowls):

Ingredients for the mango banana smoothie bowl
  • Mango – 4 cups of frozen mango
  • Bananas – 2 large bananas (frozen, in chunks or slices)
  • Coconut Milk – 1/2 cup carton coconut milk (or more as needed)
  • Optional Toppings (granola, banana, mango, nuts, seeds, coconut flakes)

Equipment I’m Using

To make my smoothie bowl, I’m using a high-speed Vitamix blender. You’ll need a blender powerful enough to blend up the frozen fruit.

For the bowl, I’m serving my smoothie in a coconut bowl from Southeast Asia. It looks so good, and they’re really light and easy to hold in the palm of your hand.

Here’s How to Make it

Step 1 – Add all the ingredients to a high-speed blender like Vitamix. Start blending on the lowest speed and then quickly increase to the highest speed, blending for about 1-2 minutes until all the fruit is blended and smooth. Use a tamper as needed to push the frozen fruit towards the blades.

Blending the frozen mango, frozen banana slices, and coconut milk

If you don’t have a high-speed blender, I recommend using a food processor rather than a regular blender. A regular blender will generally not be able to blend all this frozen fruit with this little liquid without issues.

Step 2 – Add the blended fruit to the bowls and add your favorite toppings. For this one, I recommend granola, fresh sliced banana, coconut, and a touch of tartness like raspberries or dried cranberries.

Now for the Toppings

Now here’s for the fun part! The wonder of smoothie bowls is that it’s so easy to make them your own.

I topped mine with granola, coconut flakes, seed and nut mix, cranberries, and sliced banana.
