Air Fryer Carrot Fries with Parmesan
My air fryer carrot fries are deliciously crispy and sweet. Coated with parmesan, lemon juice, olive oil, and garlic, these can be a great substitute for potato fries if you want something a little lighter.
Ingredients
To make my air fryer carrots, you’ll need the following ingredients:
- Carrots – 1 lb (450 grams) carrots
- Garlic Powder – 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- Olive Oil – 1 tbsp of olive oil
- Parmesan – 4 tbsp grated parmesan (grate at home)
- Lemon – 1 tbsp of freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Salt – 1/2 tsp kosher salt (or more to taste)
- Pepper – 1/4 tsp black pepper (or more to taste)
- Parsley (optional) – a handful of fresh parsley (for garnishing), about 1 tbsp finely chopped
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1 – Peel the carrots and cut them into fries.
Step 2 – Mix the lemon juice, garlic powder, half the parmesan (2 tablespoons), olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Step 3 – Toss the carrot fries in the mixture.
Step 4 – Preheat the air fryer according to the manufacturer’s instructions (or for about 3 minutes if unsure).
Step 5 – Air fry the carrot fries at 390°F (200°C) for 15-18 minutes until tender and slightly charred. Flip them halfway through so they get a bit charred on both sides, or toss them a few times throughout the cooking time.
Step 5 – Serve them with the remaining parmesan on top and fresh parsley.
