This Strawberry Mousse Has Only 3 Ingredients
This strawberry mousse is lusciously smooth and delicately sweet, and it is made from just 3 ingredients! Consisting of condensed milk, heavy cream, and fresh strawberries, you can prepare it in under 10 minutes and then let it sit in the fridge for at least 2 hours. It’ll be sweet and creamy regardless, but if you’re able to let it sit overnight, it will be thicker and firmer.
Garnish it with chopped fresh strawberries. You can bring these out at dinner parties or special events, or enjoy them by the spoonful on one of those lazy evenings when you just want to relax with family. If you’re hosting, you can also easily make this no-egg chocolate mousse and this easy lemon posset alongside it. Luxurious desserts don’t have to be complicated!
What You Will Need
You will only need these three ingredients to make this mousse (for 6 servings):
- Heavy Cream – 2 cups heavy cream (or double cream)
- Strawberries – 8 oz fresh strawberries (225 grams), plus a couple more to garnish
- Condensed Milk – 1/2 cup condensed milk
Steps to Make it
Step 1. Blend the strawberries and condensed milk. You can use an immersion blender, a countertop blender, or a food processor.
Step 2. Whip the cream to soft peaks.
Step 3. Add the strawberry-condensed milk mixture 1/3 at a time into the whipped cream, folding gently with a spatula.
Step 4. Transfer the mousse to six serving containers. I used ramekins but you can use any dessert glasses or cocktail glasses.
Step 5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours but preferably overnight.
How to Serve it
Serve with fresh strawberries on top. As you can see, I went with ramekins placed on a matching cake stand when serving. This is for those times you really want to wow your dinner guests. You can also use dessert glasses or cocktail glasses.
For me, it’s all about the texture of the dessert. The whipped cream, condensed milk, and strawberries balance each other, so each mouthful is delicately sweet, light, and fresh.
