Ingredients Board

To make my air fryer chicken wings and parmesan garlic butter sauce, you’ll need the following:

Ingredients board for chicken wings

Chicken Wings

  • Chicken Wings – 1 lb of chicken wings (broken down into flats and drumettes, no tips)
  • Italian Seasoning – 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
  • Garlic Powder – 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • Olive Oil – 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt – a pinch of kosher salt
  • Black Pepper – a pinch of ground black pepper

Sauce

  • Butter – 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • Garlic – 2 garlic cloves
  • Parmesan – 1/4 cup parmesan
  • Lemon – 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Parsley – a handful of fresh parsley, finely minced
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions for Making Them

Step 1. Season the chicken wings (flats and drumettes) with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper, and toss them with a tablespoon of olive oil.

Step 2. Preheat the air fryer for 3 minutes to 400°F. Once the air fryer is preheated, add the seasoned chicken wings and cook for 8 minutes. Then flip and cook for about 8 minutes on the second side (for a total of 16 minutes). Check if the chicken wings are fully cooked (they are fully cooked when the meat thermometer reads 165°F (74°C). If they’re below the safe temperature of 165°F (74°C), continue cooking them in the air fryer until they reach that temperature. The exact cooking times will vary from air fryer to air fryer.

Side note: Some air fryers come with built-in thermometers so you can insert the probe in the chicken wing and set the air fryer to turn off when the set temperature is reached!

Step 3. While the chicken wings are in the air fryer, make the butter sauce. Melt the butter in a small pan over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds. Take the pan off the heat and add the lemon juice, half the parmesan, and finely minced fresh parsley.
